OUR GOD IS NOT DEAF

“When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command the locust to devour the land, or send pestilence among my people, if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” – 2 Chronicles 7:13-14 (ESV)

In this all too familiar passage, there’s a tendency for us to miss the preceding verse 13, only focusing on verse 14, not realising that the context is important for us to appreciate to appreciate fully what the entire passage conveys.…

A Guide to 247 Prayer for Malaysia 2014

As Christians and God’s people in Malaysia,

  • We are called to pray for our beloved country so that Habakkuk’s vision, “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea” (Habakkuk 2:14), will be fulfilled in our land.

As Christians and God’s people in Malaysia,

  • We believe that God’s message to His people through Jeremiah, “Seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you … and pray to the LORD on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare” (Jeremiah 29:7), is also His word for us today.

Malaysia Day Prayer Celebration

The Flag Parade and the National Anthem.  

On 16 September 2014,  close to 4,500 Christians from various denominations and churches all across the Klang Valley and as far as Port Dickson came together for the the Malaysia Day Prayer Celebration that was held in Bukit Jalil.  It was there that Prayer United – a network of umbrella organisations, denominations and prayer networks – launched the call to nationwide 24-7 prayer for Malaysia at the Malaysia Day Prayer Celebration.…
